Uvachrom AG Munich
In 1916 Arthur Traube developed the Uvatypie process of colour printing, based on dyeing then bleaching. In the next two years he founded the firm Uvachrom AG in Munich (also Uvachrom Aktiengesellschaft für Farbenphotographie). Uvachrom primarily (maybe entirely) was a printer rather than a publisher, and many cards have a Uvachrom logo as well as a publisher logo though some only have the Uvachrom logo. Sometimes the logo is the word Uvachrom in a bold script type.
The firm also made prints and illustrations for books, for example “Das Berchtesgadener Land. Nach farbenphotographischen Uvachrom-Aufnahmen” by Martin Herpich, who was also a postcard publisher (see the MHM logo).
